The property was very nice. The staff was very helpful. However the reservations that I booked on ******* didn't go through to the hotel. Lucky they had two rooms that I could reserve for a couple of nights. I'm not sure how this works but the hotel could see the reservations in ******* but did not have the reservations in their system.

The most important thing to me at any hotel is cleanliness and our room ans the hotel were both the staff was very friendly would recommend.

When we got there we were told the pool was closed which we really wanted to use and were offered no compensation. Staff was friendly, room clean but the bed was hard and uncomfortable.

We have stayed here in the past and it was great, this most recent stay was terrible. It was a construction zone that I was not made aware of at the time of booking. It was incredibly dusty and noisy. Staff members were rude. Pool was closed, again something I was not made aware of at the time of booking. Now they are refusing a refund. Just a very poor experience. Stay somewhere else!

Staff was amazing as always. But there should be some advance warning of construction of that magnitude. The whole lobby floor was gutted when I got there. The elevator door would not close, hence the elevator wouldn’t work, because of construction debris in the track. And the pool and fitness center were closed. Just a bad facility experience. I would have rated it lower if the staff hadn’t been so awesome.

1. I wasn’t told of no pool, no hot, tub or no bar area until the day before my trip even though I booked over a month in advance.
2. Drilling, pounding and hammering through the walls. When I complained and asked for a different room, I was told no rooms available because of construction. Also dusty that bothered my allergies.
3. They told me the noise would stop at 7:00pm. (Yup go to hotel to hear construction all day) it did not stop until 7:30-8:00.
4. New door and frame were in the hallway outside of my room. Just randomly leaning against the wall.
5. When I go places, I always looked for a Hampton Inn. Not again…Highly disappointed!

It is a nice location with an Adirondack feel - very appropriate for Lake George. The breakfast area is spacious and the breakfast service was excellent. The hotel was under construction, so no pool or hot tub availability, which was disappointing, as the location was selected based on both of these features.

Room was dim and dated. A broken light made things all the dimmer - unfortunately the front desk staff said they weren't willing to sort it out.
Overall I'd say this hotel makes sense at a bargain price point, but at the price we paid I don't think it was a great value.
